Two weeks ago we got the first pics of baby Jackson Theron, Charlize’s newly adopted son, and today we have more adorable pics of the little man as he and his mom step out in Madrid, Spain. Jackson is a bit of a jetsetter; last we saw him he was in Paris, now he is out and about in Spain. Check out how cute he is though in his lil’ traveling outfit!
As you may recall, in March we learned that Charlize was the proud new mom of a son after she announced to the world that she adopted a baby named Jackson. She still hasn’t released much information about the little boy, his age or where he is from, but Charlize is starting to show off her newly expanded family to the world. First we saw lil’ Jackson in Paris and now in Spain, as he traverses around Europe with his momma.
Jackson is one serious cutie. That yellow jumpsuit is adorable, and he looks so comfortable and happy in his mom’s arms. Charlize must be crazy busy at the moment, juggling all the promotional touring she is doing for Snow White And The Huntman and a new baby. She was just in London for the world premiere of the new movie, and now she is moving her way across Europe. She seems to be handling it like a pro though and baby Jackson is going along everywhere with her. Good for her – I’m so happy for Charlize and her new found motherhood. She just looks so happy and content with Jackson in her arms and it really suits her.

Yesterday was still very much a quiet day for me … ever since I got home from NYC Monday night, I’ve felt pretty cruddy. My throat has been sore, I’ve been really phlegmy and totally exhausted. I haven’t had the energy to go for a run since I did my 6 miles in Central Park on Monday so I’m itching to get out there again (I didn’t even make it out to see my concert last night). I thought I’d be up for a run yesterday but I just couldn’t do it. Today’s the day, tho, I’m gonna try and run for as long as possible to keep my weekly milage up. All of this exhausted downtime has afforded me the opportunity to read, to, so I’m happy to report that I’m just over halfway thru A Clash of Kings, book 2 of George R.R. Martin‘s series A Song of Ice and Fire.
As you may know, season of of the HBO series Game of Thrones is based on A Clash of Kings so I’ve been really enjoying watching the eps and reading the book. I’ve noticed that there are quite a few differences from the book than the TV series … much more so than was different in season one. I started rewatching the eps from season two last night to help me keep the book in context — which is very helpful — but I’m really looking forward to moving on to the subsequent books and finishing them before season 3 of Game of Thrones debuts on HBO next year.
But, as much as I’ve been enjoying all the reading, I’m kinda anxious to get back to the running. If I’m going to run 2 half marathons and a full marathon later this year, I have to keep up my training. I should be breaking the 9 mile mark soon. Tonight, David and I have a double date with our friends Gray and Jeff so that will be fun. I hope all y’all are having a great Friday and will have a happy weekend ahead!

Last night David and I met up with our friends Gray and Jeff for a double dinner date at Tortilla Republic in West Hollywood, CA and had ourselves an amazingly delicious time. Since we’ve been home from Todos Santos, Mexico, David and I have stayed away from Mexican food because we fear that nothing that we eat here will come close to measuring up to the delicious food we experienced in Mexico … but we couldn’t stay away forever. I’m happy to say that the food at Tortilla Republic was great … but the company was even better.
It has been many weeks since we got to hang out with Gray and Jeff (we hadn’t seen them since we all went to The Magic Castle back in March) so we were long overdue for a hang sesh. We love those guys … it’ll be so fun seeing them get married in September 
Yes, they are wedding #7 of our 8 weddings this year. While we hung out at the restaurant for a while, we decided to call it an early night.
After far too many days of exhaustion, I think I’m finally ready to get moving again. On the advice of David and quite a few of you Pink readers, I decided to take the day yesterday to rest up and recuperate before I get to running again. I know it seems like I may have been pushing myself too hard over the past few months with my new running hobby but honestly, I’ve been really smart about my training. I did come down with something in NYC last week so that’s why I’ve been so wiped all week long. I’m feeling better today. I’d say I’m at 90% so I’m ready to head out for a run again. I’m gonna see how long/far I can go … I have a feeling today’s run is going to be a good one.

A few weeks ago we heard about Courtney Love’s transition into the world of art after she held her first exhibition in Chelsea, New York. The collection, called ‘She’s Not Even That Pretty‘ included a bunch of drawings all with the theme of a blond woman in a seemingly chaotic mess. Most people, even those without an education in art criticism, could tell that this collection was in some form an obvious self portrait session. Today, Courtney has posted onto Twitter a pic of herself and her new best friend, Gwyneth Paltrow, along with a message that suggests Gwynnie is wanting to buy one of these artworks from Court.

I went to see Courtney’s exhibition in NYC and I have to say, I actually didn’t hate it. In fact, there were one or two artworks which I quite liked, in particular the two extra large drawings which had some paint thrown in too. I wonder if Gwyneth was interested in the same ones?
I don’t think Ms Love is going to become a full time artist, and I know there were readers of this blog that didn’t like her style of art at all. But, for me anyway, I’m typically a fan of abstract and chaotic artworks and it seems Ms Paltrow is too. Now, more importantly, is this the start of a new BFF duo?

She will play Elizabeth Olsen‘s mother in a flick about two girls trying to get banged lose their v-card the summer after high school graduation. When Dakota Fanning falls for the same guy as Olsen, however, their friendship is tested for the first time.
All three are incredible actresses, so this already has the potential to be a very good coming-of-age film.
Fun fact: Naomi Foner, the movie’s writer and director, is Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal‘s mom! They aren’t starring in it, as far as we know, but Maggie’s husband Peter Sarsgaard is.

“I’m curious to see how much I remember about nursing and changing diapers,” she tells the paper. “About all of it. I have no idea how to do it with two. Having children is the most humbling thing you can do.”

Boo. Today we hear from network president Mark Pedowitz on the PROMISE that Ringer star Sarah Michelle Gellar will return to The CW … in some capacity … some day. Pedowitz is very murky on the details but he SWEARS SMG will be back on The CW. Read on to see what he has to say.
The CW president Mark Pedowitz returned repeatedly to the themes of stability and investment in content that serves the network’s tech-savvy younger consumers on multiple platforms at the network’s upfront presentation Thursday morning … He also addressed his decision to cancel the Sarah Michelle Gellar vehicle Ringer, saying the show’s serialized format did not help it hold its audience during reruns. He said Gellar, the beloved star of iconic series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, understood the decision and that the exec is committed to getting her back on The CW in some way, if not in a different series then as a producer. And he admitted that’s he’s still being inundated with e-mails from angry Gellar fans. “She will be back on The CW in some form,” he vowed.
HMMM. I mean, I want to believe this guy but … I dunno. I really loved having SMG back on TV … I’m gonna miss her, again. The fact that Pedowitz says that SMG might return to The CW as a “producer” seems to be his out if she never stars in a series again … but I really hope he does make good on his promise and brings Sarah Michelle Gellar back to TV as a star of her own show. After the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, I kinda lost all hope that SMG would ever return to TV … then we got Ringer (a show that I genuinely loved). I guess I can keep hope alive one more time. SMG is too good not to be on TV … I mean, am I right?

Will Smith‘s nice guy reputation just took a big hit–er, slap.
At the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3, TMZ‘s cameras rolled as a Ukrainian reporter got a little too close for the actor’s comfort. Though Smith, 43, initially seemed open to reciprocating a journalist’s friendly embrace, when the man attempted to kiss him on the lips, the actor recoiled, shoving the man back–and then slapping him on the face.
“What the hell is your problem, man?” Smith snarled, before smacking the bewildered journalist.
“He’s lucky I didn’t sucker-punch him,” a visibly-angry Smith told onlookers afterwards. “Oh, sorry, I said that on camera.”
According to TMZ, the man who attempted to kiss Will is an entertainment journalist known in Europe for the silly PDA he shows towards the celebrities he interviews.

The hot real life couple, Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana, are firing up the screen in their new film, The Words. Today, the official trailer has been released, and it is no wonder that Bradley fell in love with Zoe on set. There is definitely a lot of fire between them. As you may recall, Bradley was named by People magazine in 2011 as the Sexiest Man Alive. They both look pretty good in this movie, and pretty hot together, I have to say. Starring also the beautiful, Olivia Wilde and Dennis Quaid, this certainly has the making for a hot summer flick. Check out the trailer… are you going to see this movie when it comes out?
Back in December last year we heard that Zoe and Bradley were a hot new couple which sparked through fictional relationship in this movie they were filming together. When you watch the trailer, not only does the movie look pretty good, but it’s fun to try and catch a glimpse of their love blossoming on set, which apparently it did.
Forgetting about their romance for a second and back to the trailer, I’m pretty intrigued by this movie. Bradley plays the role of a writer who encounters massive writer’s block and in order to achieve literary success steals another writer’s work. This is the blurb from IMDB…

They’ve certainly got four great actors, in Wilde, Saldana, Cooper and Quaid, and from the trailer, the layering of the two stories seems to work nicely to create a powerful multidimensional plot. I’m definitely going to check this one out, and I promise it’s not just to watch Zoe and Bradley get it on… well, maybe a little.

Donna Summer’s Family to Hold Private Memorial in Nashville
Donna Summer gave many gifts to the music world, so naturally, the singer’s family chose to hold her memorial service in the music epicenter of the world: Nashville, Tenn. (The star moved to the music capitol in 1994.)
TMZ, who broke the news Thursday that the legendary “Last Dance” singer had lost her battle with lung cancer at the age of 63, reported Friday that the private ceremony to remember the star is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30.
On Thursday, Summer’s family released a statement to the Associated Press on their loved one’s passing.
“Early this morning, we lost Donna Summer Sudano, a woman of many gifts, the greatest being her faith,” the statement begins. “While we grieve her passing, we are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can’t express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time.”

The chart-topping, Grammy winner known as “The Queen of Disco” is survived by daughters Brooklyn, 31, and Amanda, 29, who she shares with husband Bruce Sudano, 63. Summer’s eldest daughter, Mimi, is from her previous marriage to actor Helmuth Sommer.

Donna Summer — the Queen of Disco — died this morning after a battle with cancer … TMZ has learned. We’re told Summer was in Florida at the time of her death. She was 63-years-old. Summer was a 5-time Grammy winner who shot to superstardom in the ’70s with iconic hits like “Last Dance,” “Hot Stuff” and “Bad Girls.” She continued her dominance in the ’80s with “She Works Hard for the Money” and “This Time I Know It’s for Real.” Summer and her producer Giorgio Moroder defined the dance music era of the ’70s and influenced acts like Duran Duran and David Bowie to enter the genre. Summer married Brooklyn Dreams singer Bruce Sudano back in 1980. They had two daughters together.

As I’m sure you recall, John Mayer is suffering from a throat illness that is preventing him from performing and touring his new album. Born and Raised however is being released May 22nd so this week John hosted “An Evening With John Mayer” to unveil his new album. On Wednesday evening at Electric Lady Studios in NYC, where the record was made, the singer-songwriter held an intimate listening party and spoke about the album and his new work in lieu of performing tracks off his latest album. Read on to find out how John compiled this album and what his plans are for the coming year.
Sitting in a chair with his now signature wide-brimmed hat and Johnny Depp look, John spoke to a small group about how Born and Raised was compiled.
“I wrote ‘Age of Worry’ there, I wrote ‘Whiskey, Whiskey, Whiskey’ there, I wrote ‘Born and Raised,’” Mayer explains, pointing to a couch nestled in the corner of Studio C. “I’ve done four or five of these [listening parties] but this is definitely the most special because this is where the record was made…I’m just so proud that it’s almost out,” he adds. “There comes a time making a record that you forget anyone is ever going to hear it because it seems so far off.”
“I’ve been thinking I’ll record in July and August. I’m already writing – I’ve got nothing else to do,” he notes. “Like any other job, you finish a project – you start another project…Whether or not I can sing, there’s a way I can see the world right now that I won’t again,” continues Mayer. “And if you’re a writer, you write the way you can see the world at that moment.”
Of course it is very sad that John is not able to tour Born and Raised or perform at all for the moment because he is still battling illness, but it is great to see that he is still so positive and forward thinking. He is a great song writer first and foremost, and a lot of people have often seen his music as strong poetry so maybe this challenging period in his life will provide him with the material and the emotion to produce some of the greatest music of his career. I’m excited to see what he comes up with in his next album as I’m sure it will be influenced by this time in his life.

At long last, I FINALLY got around to seeing the new Joss Whedon-produced, Drew Goddard-directed suspense thriller The Cabin in the Woods. As you may know, I’ve been CRAZY bizzy lately flying all over the US attending weddings in the past few weeks and this week — at long last — I get a few days to catch my breath. David and I have been really anxious to see Cabin so last night we decided to make it our date night event.
I managed to stay away from plot spoilers so I was pretty surprised by the film. The tagline is “You Think You Know the Story” and it’s the perfect tease. We’re initially supposed to assume the film is a run-of-the-mill slasher flick where teenagers get slaughtered in a remote cabin in the woods. Then, the movie trailers informed us that there is something more going on behind the scenes. BUT, none of that truly prepares you for what REALLY is going on in this film. I don’t want to spoil because I really think it works best when the audience is surprised … but I will say that The Cabin in the Woods is a truly Whedonesque film. It is the most Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel film that we have ever gotten from Whedon. The same humor, the same camp, the same metaphysical fun that we got from BtVS and Angel is showcased PERFECTLY in this new film. I was half expecting the word “hellmouth” to be uttered. And, in all honesty, I was a bit bummed that Wolfram & Hart wasn’t included in the story. Clearly, Whedon and Goddard wanted to tell a Buffy-like story without having any connection to the Buffyverse at all. From the very start of the film, before the movie title is splashed on screen, you get a good understanding for the way the film will turn out. I was beyond thrilled to see that Amy Acker is featured front and center. It was also really fun to see my boy Tom Lenk in the mix as well. I can understand how the folks who aren’t familiar with the genius of the Buffyverse might not get this film … but David loved it and he’s never watched a single episode of Buffy or Angel. The Cabin in the Woods is one of the best suspense films I’ve seen in a very long time. I honestly cannot wait to see it again. If I can get someone to go back with me, I’d see it repeatedly. I loved every single second of Cabin. I’m utterly convinced that Joss Whedon can do no wrong.
Blah. I am still feeling under the weather … my allergies are killing me, I have no energy … it’s really irritating me. I need to go for a run but I just don’t know if I can manage it. If I don’t run today, I’m running tomorrow … for sure. Tonight, I’m seeing The Dandy Warhols in concert so I’m excited for that but … ugh, all this phlegmy coughing is really bringing me down. Ugh. I hope YOUR Thursday is going much better

Yesterday we learned that Jennifer Lopez is going around town suggesting that she might not return to judge another season of American Idol. I, and may others, immediately jumped to the conclusion that she is merely saying this as a negotiating tactic to reap a more lucrative contract with Idol. But, according to E! News, it’s starting to sound like J. Lo is really serious about quitting Idol. For the first time ever, Lopez is going out on a world tour this Summer and prepping for the next season of AI would get in the way of her tour. Additionally, J. Lo says she’d like to spend more time with her children. I’m actually starting to believe that she is seriously serious about saying goodbye to American Idol.
While J.Lo has publicly said she has yet to make a decision about her future on Idol, sources exclusively tell me that she she’s planning on calling it quits. She’s just too busy,” one source said … She’s about to launch a mega concert tour with Enrique Iglesias that kicks off this summer in Latin America and the U.S. She plans to go worldwide in the fall. I’m told Lopez will be on the road, at the very least, through the end of the year. The next round of Idol auditions will begin while she’s overseas. The superstar apparently wants to free up her schedule next year, possibly taking a little hiatus from work to be with her kids. “It is just like any working mom’s dilemma,” Lopez told us at Monday’s premiere of What to Expect When You’re Expecting. “It’s tough. It’s a balancing act. You put them first and then you have all these other things that you have to do, that you have to give your time to as well, and you have to make sure that they’re OK in the process.” Fox declined to comment on Lopez’s future with the show. Meanwhile, a source close to the production tells E! News that “Fox does not want to let her go. They love her.” Lopez has been on Idol for two seasons with one-year contracts for both. Now the question is, will Fox try to change Lopez’s mind with a much bigger payday?
While my gut tells me that an $18-20 million dollar contract from Fox would make her stay on American Idol, I really do believe that she is prolly considering leaving the job behind. I guess it depends on how important the tour is to her. If she really wants to focus on her music career, then she should definitely tour the world as much as possible to show people FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER that she is an exciting live musical act. As for wanting to spend more time with the kids, well, I think she can do AI and still spend time with the children … but she prolly cannot tour the world, work on Idol AND spend quality time at home. In the end, I think J. Lo will be afforded the luxury of doing exactly what she wants … whatever that may be. She’s made smart career decisions in recent years … let’s hope she makes another one this time around.

Now that the world has fallen in love with The Hulk again, thanks to the stunning success of the big screen adaptation of The Avengers, Disney/Marvel is lookin’ to capitalize on the rekindled love affair. Back in the late 70s/early 80s, CBS aired the TV series The Incredible Hulk. This week, Disney-owned ABC has announced plans to bring The Hulk back to TV. The show won’t be hitting the air this year but it’s deffo on track to debut next year.
ABC and Marvel haven’t produced any live-action series since Marvel became part of the Disney empire — but that could change in the next year or so. ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee says an Incredible Hulk series is still in development at the network, and Marvel will also “develop aggressively” for other networks as well. A series based on The Punisher was set up at FOX this season but didn’t get to the pilot stage. “Of course we’re immensely proud to be in a company with ‘The Avengers,’” Lee says. “… ‘The Hulk’ is in development. It wasn’t going to be ready for this season, but we hope it will be ready for next season.” David Eick (“Battlestar Galactica”) and director Guillermo del Toro have been attached to the Hulk series. Lee, who also runs ABC Studios, says ABC will take Marvel shows that are “appropriate to our brand,” but he’s more than willing to sell shows to NBC, FOX and CBS as well. “We would like to see some Marvel projects move to television.”
My mom and I used to LOVE watching The Incredible Hulk on CBS when I was very, very young. The Incredible Hulk and Wonder Woman were two of my absolute favorite shows as a child. Last year we learned that plans to bring WW back to TV failed at NBC but I have faith that ABC will be able to bring The Hulk back to TV. With the huge advancements made in TV technology, it’s possible that The Hulk will be one of the coolest shows on TV … but, because we are a long way off from the Hulk‘s TV return, we’ll just have to wait and see. I’m excited by this news tho, are you?

Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen made their red carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2011, and now Chris Pine and Dominique Piek are following in their footsteps.
For the first time ever, Pine, 31, and his Sports Illustrated model girlfriend, 26, walked hand-in-hand at the opening night gala in France Wednesday. South African Piek, who wore a Giorgio Armani gown, tweeted that “nothing could have prepared me for the crazy red carpet experience. Thank goodness I made it in one piece up the stairs!”
Pine — whose exes include Olivia Munn, 31, and Audrina Patridge, 27 — began romancing Piek last fall. In November, the Star Trek actor visited Piek’s native country and “stayed with her parents in Capetown,” a source tells Us Weekly. “Dom introduced him to all of her friends and family there.”
Prior to her relationship with Pine, Piek — who resides primarily in New York City — dated professional baseball player C.J. Wilson, 31.
